The Question: Can FWA Work on an L2? We’ve seen FWA work on mainnet. But we’ve yet to see whether FWA can work on an L2. There are many questions that need to be answered: Is there enough liquidity? Are there enough interesting NFT collections on L2s? Will the economics still work at a smaller scale? Here is our experiment: Fake Shape Asset. Deposit is Live: https://www.fakeshape.xyz/ Acquisition will open Later Making FWA More Accessible To address some of these problems, we’ve made a few small changes on top of the original FWA model. It take 0.1 eth for a single FWA roll on mainnet. We’re lowering the barrier to entry with a much lower minimum deposit. so expect to see purchases in the sub-0.01 ETH range. Some have also said that the FWA system doesn’t encourage people to explore the NFT ecosystem, since any arbitrary NFT can be listed with high backing. To encourage people to explore collections fo different price rnage in shape ecosystem, we’re introducing minimum and maximum backing ranges for specific NFTs. This encourages more meaningful pricing while also preventing someone from accidentally listing something valuable for 0.001 ETH. New Game: Fake Property? Many people will ask: What is Shape? I don’t own any NFTs on this chain. How am I supposed to play? That’s where Fake Property comes in. We believe we need something novel to get people to start playing on an L2. Fake Property is a new experiment designed specifically to work with the gacha system. Think about this, what if the only way to upgrade an NFT is to put it in the gacha? Everyone starts with a Trash bin, and the only way to level it up is to put it into the gacha. Each Fake Property will also become a playable asset in our upcoming game. Why Is That Interesting? It means that, in the process of leveling up, you have to choose your backing carefully: Back it too low, and your NFT gets snatched. Back it too high, and your NFT may never be acquired—so it never levels up. Too scared to deposit it
